COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
SHELBY COUNTY, OHIO
Notice is hereby given that the Board of County Commissioners of Shelby County, Ohio will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. in the County Commissioners' Office, Shelby County Annex Building, 129 E. Court Street, Sidney, Ohio.
The Board of Commissioners is eligible to apply to the Ohio Department of Development for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to provide citizens in all jurisdictions (cities, villages, etc.) with pertinent information and encourage discussion of possible applications to submit to the Ohio Department of Development.
PY2025 CDBG programs available to the County include the Community Housing Impact and Preservation (CHIP), Residential Public Infrastructure, Critical Infrastructure, Economic Development, and Flexible Grant Programs.
The Public Hearing will provide information on eligible activities and program requirements. The activities must be designed to primarily benefit low-to-moderate income persons as determined by HUD guidelines.
A second public hearing will be held for any project-specific grant application(s) made by the Shelby County Board of Commissioners to the Ohio Department of Development.
Citizens from all jurisdictions (cities, villages, etc.) are encouraged to attend the first Public Hearing on April 3, 2025. The Shelby County Annex Building is a handicap accessible facility. Should any attendee require auxiliary aids due to disability or non-English languages, please contact the County Commissioners’ Office at (937) 498-7226 at least one week prior to the hearing date to ensure needs will be accommodated. Written comments may be submitted prior to the hearing date at the address above.

The Village is once again looking for dedicated Manager / Assistant Manager / Co-Assistant Managers to oversee the day-to-day operations for the 2025 Swimming Pool Season. Employment runs Mid-May to Mid-August. This position is ideal for College Students, Teachers, Stay at Home Parents or Retired persons looking for a part-time opportunity!
We also need and have Lifeguard & Slide Attendant positions available. Age requirement: Lifeguard 15 and up - Slide Attendant 14 and up. The Village will pay 100% of the cost of the Lifeguard Training and Certification.
